FreeWrite persuasive essay
The world needs a real super hero. I not one on tv but one in real life it he/she would make the world a better placer. Its not really about the super powers a super hero has it is about the people that hero inspires to do the right thing. A hero would be there when needed and always have something inspirational to say. If I was a super hero I would spent my time instructing people on how to do the right thing first rather than running aroud punishing people for the doing wrong we never even explained the reason for not doing. everything is distorted in this day and age. For example Jesus probable didnt go aroud telling people if they didnt follow him and the way of god your going to hell. I would bet my life that he would have told you why its right to follow the word of god opposed to the reasons why it is not all right not to follow god. The context you should always shed light on in a subject is the positive side of thing not the negative. Also you should always go into an experieance looking for the lesson that it holds for you because it is not important weather you think it a good or bad experiance its the lessons that you learn that you take with you not the experiance itself.

Nice Willy! When you talk about How a real Hero would teach us how to do right, as opposed to just doing it, it makes me think of that saying Those who can do, those who can't teach. I guess that kind of contradicts your argument. I thought it was a nice piece anyway.
Nice will!
I guess world really needs not just a hero, but I guess about a thousand lol
and you really have a nice point with the "why not do wrong" thing
good job :D
Will,
I think this topic has a lot of potential, and I am excited to see the direction you take. "Where have all the heroes gone?" is indeed a question that deserves some profound consideration.
I would like for you to think about your purpose for your essay. Do you want to advise others to be better people by taking action? Or would you rather argue that the media needs to take another approach when relating to the public?
Also, be careful not to be caught doing exactly what you are so upset with: telling others what they are doing wrong, rather than showing them how to do it right. If the world is relating to each other in a negative way, and you would like to see that change, be sure to practice what you preach and relate your audience in a more positive and proactive way.
For example, "I have noticed that our culture is inundated with negative reproach...Why not celebrate our humanity with supportive affirmations and progressive action."
I like Paulo's comment about the world needing about a thousand or so heroes. How might you use your writing to inspire such changes in not only those around you, but beyond the walls of HSHS and our fences of our own community?
